Abstract
It has been prevailed that mentally ill patients, especially patients with schizophrenia, could be more dangerous than any other somatic ill patients and people without illness in driving. By reviewing articles about traffic accidents and psychiatric patients, we can’t find out moderate evidences that the driving of patients with schizophrenia should be restricted, even though there are few papers available. Authors recommended that many well-designed studies should be employed for further administrative policy about fitness to drive. (Schizophrenia Clinics 2003;6:32-35)
